Flashpoint Academy Welcomes the Class of 2011

On September 8, 2009, Flashpoint kicked off the new school year, welcoming over 230 students in 4 disciplines to the first day of orientation.

From before 8am until after 5pm, students of film and broadcast, game development, recording arts, and visual effects and animation checked in, met their new classmates and teachers, and were introduced to the programs they’ll be participating in over the next two years.

Students were also given their very first assignments as Flashpoint attendees: create a Machinima to be presented to their peers and teachers this coming Friday, September 11th. This project gives this new class of aspiring artists an opportunity to interact with their teammates, immerse themselves in the creative process, and get a taste of collaborating, communicating, and creating professional results as Flashpoint students.
